Bill Healey at The Citadel

Bill Healey made a comeback to the poetry circuit at Originality after many years away.

Bill used to write predominantly literary poems (see Elegy for Love. Desiderata and Rockproof) but has rediscovered his love for performance poetry (U4Me and The I's Have It).

Bill still writes his own songs, which vary from the very romantic, through pscychological forays into the human psyche, to out and out absurdity.

Bill is a John Lennon Scholar and has an MA, with distinction, from the University of Liverpool. His research thesis was into medieval English religious drama in the vernacular. He still has a love of drama and the metaphors we live by and the way they shape our thoughts. He also has a post-graduate diploma in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, which is sometimes reflected in his poetry. 'Love is the Way', 'Ziggy Starlust' and 'I and Me Blues' represent a cross section of that spectrum.
